Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I need someone to clean my bins?

With a garden hose and cleaning solution, there’s only so much you can do. Our technicians use a state of the art bin cleaning system that removes hard to reach dirt, grime, and bacteria that builds up over time. Our cleaning service helps save you time, energy, and frustration!

How often should my bins be cleaned?

This is completely up to you! However, we recommend that you get them cleaned monthly as germs and bacteria will begin to live all over your cans because of continual use. The health of our clients is one of our top priorities!

What should I expect from Happy Bins?

Happiness, of course! We exist to keep you, your family, and your community happy and healthy. When we arrive for your scheduled cleaning (which will be the day after your scheduled trash day) we will sanitize, disinfect, and deodorize your bins. Our state of the art bin cleaning system uses hot, pressurized water to clean your bins; killing 99.9% of germs, bacteria, and odors. After we spritz your bins with our beloved deodorizer, our technicians will walk your bins to the front of your home for your convenience. As we always say, “A Clean Bin is a Happy Bin!”

Is Happy Bins environmentally friendly?

Yes we are! We provide you with an eco-friendly service that sanitizes, disinfects, and deodorizes your bins without the use of harmful chemicals. Each bin only requires approximately 3-5 gallons of water. If you did it yourself with a garden hose, it would take at least 15 gallons! At Happy Bins, we keep your bins clean while staying green!

Will I be notified before you clean my bins?

Yes! You will receive a communication from us one week before your bin cleaning and then another communication the day before your scheduled visit. Great communication leads to happy bins!

How do I know my bins have been cleaned?

You will know by the freshness of your bin and by where they are placed. Our Happy Bins technicians are trained to bring your bins up to the front of your home at your convenience. We don’t just make bins happy, we make clients happy!

Where do you dump the dirty water?

We dispose of our dirty water properly following county guidelines. Dirty water will never be dumped in your yard to ensure your safety as well as the safety of your loved ones and the environment. Proper disposal makes for a happy, healthy environment!

Will I be locked into a contract?

This is another way we make happy clients, there are no contracts when you choose us! You are free to cancel your monthly or quarterly cleaning at any time. With that said, if you cancel your monthly service before four months of service, (or quarterly service before two quarters of service), we will bill you the difference of our one time cleaning rate and what you have already paid for our service. For example, our one time cleaning rate is $49 and you paid $14 total for our service, we will bill you $35 to close your account. We believe that if we keep you happy by providing a quality service, there won’t be any reason to lock you into a contract!

What condition should the bins be in before a scheduled cleaning?

Bins must be free of trash with the exception of small pieces of trash stuck to the bottom of the bin. If there is unbagged animal or human waste, we will not be able to clean your bins due to contamination of the equipment and health hazard to our technicians. Bins must be free of cooking and motor oils. Bins must be free of paint, chemicals, cat litter, or hazardous waste. Although we’d love nothing more than to clean your bins, we prioritize the wellbeing of our employees and equipment.

Can I alternate bins for each cleaning cycle?

Sorry, but no. The reason why is that each bin that is scheduled to be cleaned has been marked with our Happy Bins sticker. Only bins that are marked will be cleaned on our routes. Please see our website home page for multiple bin pricing discounts!
